when you mean hard do you mean ophidian style hard or dougal and gammer style?
because i would love every track to be like rock this - d & g
and that style of hard basslines and hands in the air shizzle..
at the moment i like the scousy basslines in hardcore think it sounds good with a driving kick and distorted synths and that sort.. but im not happy with a soucy bassline for vocal upfront stuff.. it really does just sound like sped up alex k

i think the bassline is a problem because in the old days the beat used to be harder compared to the bass which was better i think..

beat is the same in terms of hardness, it's just a more pronounced bassline that makes it sound softer, that's why 1996 souinds more stomping. It's not because of the beat being harder it's a more subdued background bassline compared to todays sound.

i find scouse slowed down hardcore or old happy hardcore coverd not hardcore sped up scouse!!
