aside from the newest technics being able to go to 16%, is there any other function on it that's different from say... an older pair from 5 years ago?

From MK3 onwards they changed how the power button functions and there is no middle "click" on zero pitch

everything inside is alot smaller/tighter together. on a couple models the pitch feels tighter/more accurate to me.

I think aside from newer parts, they are the same. I have a friend with a pair of 1200's that were made in 1980. They feel the same as mk2's that are brand new.
