everything you can do with vinyl or cd decks. theres tonnes of plugins and you can get timecoded vinyl for it!
its a good way to start out in my book!

the tunes are good, nice bouncy old skool, but i'd work on the mixing a hell of a lot more before posting another mix, not one mix is even close, get to know ur tunes inside out first, then get them beatmatched, its takes loads of practise to get it right, keep at it tho

Thanks for the comments! This one was proving difficult to work with lol I was actually wondering about a mix you uploaded a few years ago which had a few tracks you put together but the link no longer works. I was searching for other mixes members had made in the search thing & came across yours as you mentioned doing a Bouncy Techno mix in reply to my 'Whats your favorite Bouncy Techno tune?' post and searched to see if you had done any others!

Thing is... I know I'm going to be DL'ing a mix that isn't mixed well. I have no desire to do this :p
I suggest taking a good few months to get good BEFORE posting mixes. People will listen to one, hear sloppy mixing and not bother next time.
Be patient mate. :)

the flip-side to what Mortis is saying is that I practised like a hyper-active beaver building super-dam so that when I did a mix to upload the mixing was really really tight
Then he says the mix is soul-less so maybe folk read that and don't download it.
Nobody seems to be saying what people starting out are doing right.

in my eyes tight mixin is best.. cant beat it when one tune just slams straight in after another!
best thing is to do is do a mix, then play it back.. u shud notice the **** ups then!
keep at it tho, u wil get there evemtually. u just have to learn your own style... its just a learning curve!

Thats just my opinion, I said your mixing was tight but I thought the over all mix lacked something, again, my opinion. Just because I said I found your mix lacking something it doesn't mean people won't download it, anyone with any sense will be able to realise from my comments that it didn't hit the spot with me, I never said it was bad or slagged it off. If you don't want to hear what people think then don't put it online.
And also, I happened to send Smoogie a very lengthy PM regarding his mixing when he first got his decks. Offering help and advice, which I will gladly do again if I'm asked.

In that case please do accept my apologies as I was unaware that was going on behind the scenes.
And if you don't mind, I would appreciate any advice you have to offer via PM or otherwise - Is what's missing something you can put your finger on?
