The question was "if some punk comes up to you and wants to start a fight" so my response is end the fight, do it quickly, and make sure its final. By that I mean, violence must be done correctly. There is no point in fighting someone if they then go get their friends and the whole thing escalates. You must end it, short and sharp.
But I guess if you want a snappy comeback, it would be "apologize of fight, 3 seconds, 2 seconds" and then strike hard, strike fast.
