Something like this may have been posted before, if it has i apologise!

Im just wandering where every1 thinks hardcore will be in years to come or where they hope it will be.

Will it die out and never be heard of again? (doubt it very much) or

Will we ever have a Hardcore tune as number 1?, hearing your favourite tunes on your local radio station! Would you want this to happen? etc. etc.

Anything people what do you all think?

in my opinion (or view) i think hardcore will eventually take over most dance slots on the radio.

i can see hardcore slowing down to 150/160 BPM!

I see hardcore either merging or takin over trance at its new BPM range.. with trance eventually phazing out!

BTW all the above will never happen.. i would like hardcore to adapt hardstyle kicks and be played at 180/190 BPM

I sure as hell would love to hear hardcore have its own radio station so people can listen to it in their cars and what not...I just cant see that happening in the US though lol.

But if you look at it, everything now a days that is mainstream is being remixed into some sort of techno version. A good example of that is all the Kelly Clarkson songs; there are thousands of remixes of her songs, trance or hardcore. So the whole idea of bass isnt going anywhere...ever.

I think its going to make its way up one day. I cant say much though, with some the record companys losing all their money due to what ever circumstances doesnt necessarily throw anything in the right direction, but thats ok. As long as people stay true to the scene and the music, we should be perfectly fine.

The future sounds of hardcore are already here in my opinion. Take a look at tunes from bonkers 9...then listen to tunes from Orbit1 for example. Those are the freshest sounds, and what direction hardcore is headed in.

I dont reckon hardcore would ever be fully commercialised but it is (shamefully) becomin less underground wiv the likes of united in hardcore, hardcore nation and clubland x-treme hardcore. but in my opinion (I hope) hardcore will creep back to the undergrothe and become true underground music once again.

Other people may disagree but thats my ansew and im stickin to it ha ha [8D

Bring on ther best - but dont forget the cry...

HARDCORE WILL NEVER DIE!...

Well thats true too

The whole being "underground" portion of hardcore is one of the ways it makes it different. You dont want to be hearing a tune from Fretman on like a mainstream radio lol.

not all hardcore is commercial, well to me it aint!

in a way its a good thing that we've got the commercial side of hardcore.. it opens peoples eyes, ears and mind to the rest.

now commercial hardcore is here i think its here to stay. it took a long time in coming and i cant see it going anywhere!

I think it will start using alot more influences from Electro and House as well as Oldskool.. Is
already starting to happen.. Just listen to Darren Styles set on the latest clubland.. The Electro and Oldskool influences are slowly seeping through.. Trance will still be a big influence in Hardcore for a little while yet.. But the Trancey type Hardcore is and will keep getting harder and more twisted and underground, yet still with vocals..
The kicks will probably keep getting harder like someone said.. Similar to Hardstyle.. It wont go any more Trancey.. If it slowed down and went Trancey it would sound identical to Hard Dance and that would be a Tragedy..

Agree. In ten years there might be some people asking for a revival of the 2000s sound! Harder kicks are needed.

Why is it that many USA peeps are begging to hear Hardcore on radio? I would love to see Hardcore retreat back to the underground (but still with cd releases of course).

As in 10 years, I think:
1. Vocal samples will become plainer with no awesome effects and loops, etc.
2. The BPM will stay about the same.
3. The synths will become heavier.
4. Mixing will become less and less between the tracks with less DJ tricks (on cds).

Lethal Theory, mainly DJ Kurt, is turning out some very glitchy-sounding tracks with a more harder beat than others are at the moment. Al Storm is turning out some good & long awaited cheese as well. Dougal & Gammer's "style" as in "Don't, Stop, Go", "The Beat, The Bass", I dont see it lasting too long because its weak in my opinion, they need to just stick with their vocal/happy tracks like "Get Hype", and Gammer needs to stick with his tracks like "Mind Blowing". I would love to see the BPM get a little higher, more chipmunk vocals about rainbows, love, happiness, etc., or just more tricks added to the vocals like looping and vocoders, etc. And that happy organ element added back into tracks, or those loud happy melody stabs like in "No More Tears" & "Dream Factory". Seduction used them in his "Hands Up In The Hair" tracks!

I can't put my finger on what will most likely happen, but i wouldn't be surprised if Darwin sets the new hardcore trends, the guy is a genius, and he is implementing the correct sounds/style in his Hardcore Releases.

I think the Electro/Trance style will affect Hardcore, old skool won't return unless in breakdowns. It's all up to the producers!

Theres so many producers with so many styles, i doub't they would all start producing in similar styles! You will always have your Dougal & Gammer electro style, your S3RL/Firefly Trance/Techno style and your Darren Styles/ReCon/Hixxy commercial shite!

Hardcore will spread out!
