So after you record a mix. Most of the time, my volume gains are all jumpy... is there a certain step to do to fix this, before burning onto CD? Or, it doesn't really matter, or nothing can do? Or is it just the normilization button? lol

Hm? If your tracks are sounding like they're at different volumes, this means two things:

1. Your mixing sounded off, so you might not want to be putting it on CD quite yet.
2. Watch your levels. You can compress, normalize, etc. a mix, but it's not going to replace getting the gain right.

I kept all the gain levels below 0, all in the green on my mixer. All track's gain/volume levels are pretty much close to each other, but they're off by a little, should I worry? haha

When mixing don't go via the meters on the mix, go via your ear. As long as it's not extreme I wouldn't worry.

normalizing increases all sound evenly up until ANY point hits 0 dB - then it stops.

Mastering will make everything a lot more even...

try turning the record level down on your computer or cd burner??

sometimes this helps when recordings off the decks, I has a similar problem when recording mixes live, the audio sounded so loud, check your record levels in the computer, see if this helps.

remember that you can "boost" an audio file's volume

but once distorted, its almost impossible to turn it back down. "you cant polish a shit" is often linked with this sayng!

keep your levels lower than you think you need to, then boost aftwards :)
