welcome to the world of hardcore!!
i would put my house on the line and say that the trance producer did not steal ideas from dj weavers version lol.
i wouldnt mind so much if hardcore producers left the original artist's name and called it a remix but they all seem to think they have the right to remix anything and call it their own

well for a start the vocals are almost identicle apart from the usual hardcore dictionary words like "ecstasy" and "angel"
im not taking it away from weaver, fallen angel is an awsome tune, but quite clearly its not his own work
maybe this is why it was never released... (or was it recently?)

im fairly sure your right. weaver said himself that it was a remake of a trance tune. and no you can't quote me on that, but im fairly certain. he also said he changed the lyrics to fit something in his life or whatever.
i havnt listened to the other one but there is a point from where a song moves from a remix to an original work. especially in hardcore. if all that has been taken is the lyrics and the song itself has been completely reworked isnt it a new song?

That about explains it lol, I just wasnt sure who made it first, and I wanted to clarify because Fallen Angel is one of my favorite tunes.

"Fallen Angel" by Weaver pops into mind here but the original version of the tune DJ Weaver produced is class and is on my list of best tunes.
