I played my first proper gig last nite at my local pub. Its a pretty big pub n open til 2. My mate was playing DnB too. I cant believe how buzzing it was. The majority of people there werent even into the hardcore scene but they were still up on the floor givin it theyre all!!! The landlord was buzzing cos it was completely packed out and everyone was telling me what a great nite they had afterwards. Just thought id come on here n say cos its put me on a proper high!!!!! :D

congrats mate. where abouts was you playin? if i asked a pub round my way if i could play a hardcore set theyd be diggin out their crucifixes and chuckin holy water at me lol.

Nice one mate! I know the feeling. I've done a few parties for friends with a hired system & the buzz i got was mental.

thing is, if you ask your average joe if they like 'hardcore' then they will probably say no.. take them to an event, club or pub with it pounding and you will probably see them avin a good old stomp!
well done for gettin a whole pub stompin away. i hope you get a residency or somthing!

Me and a friend do a monthly hardcore night for the local under 18's i first played out about 5 months ago and i bloody loved it! therss no bettter feelin that havin a great mix and watchin all the ravers loving it! cant wait for this friday's one we've got MC Smiley there for us!

Yeah it was well buzzing.
Basically they were playin shit music as usual n the pub was pretty dead on a Saturday night so we asked the landlord if we could play there n he sed he'd giv us a try n we played the week after.
Loads of people heard about it from word of mouth n were up for sumfin different to the usual boring place i live in so it was packed out n loadsa people were dancing including radio 1 commercial people.
Theyve asked us to play there every month now :D
How much should we ask to get paid?

The pub's called The Torrs in New Mills (a little inbred town near Stockport).
