Ok i am thinking about buying a single CDJ on top of my vinyl turntables to expand my options, all i wan't is a relatively inexpensive model just to experiment with.. What would you reccomend as a good choice for this?

it would be better for you to just save up and buy the Pioneer CDJ's To be fair if your learning to dj with intention of going out and dj'ing at events then your better off buying the industry standard equipment, Makes it much easer to step up to the decks with confidence that you know how the equipment works.

Also they are excelent all of them, Never had a problem with any Pionner CDJ I have used.

Here is a link

http://www.dv247.com/invt/32356/ <--- CDJ 1000 MK3 Pionner's latest but most expensive

http://www.dv247.com/invt/26200/ <--- CDJ 200 @ only 355 GBP its worth the cash

http://www.dv247.com/invt/3499/ <--- CDJ 100S cheap option 275 GBP Excelent price

On a budget go for the CDJ 200 or the 100s, But if you can afford the 1000's MK3, MK2 go for them,

Cheers

Buzz

I was thinking of getting a CD-J but forgot all about this! May have to go down this route.

Do you know if you can only install on one comp' or could I put it on my laptop and desktop without buying it twice?

What's the difference between the two...? They can both be used with your vinyl decks using a special vinyl to cue up, yes?

Tractor scratch is much more sensitive, it has better sample rate :) it also has 2khz processing time which is double whats already out there.

Here is the tutorial video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mON-QUfEdsw

As said in the comments serato is the industry STANDARD. Traktor is th industry's BEST!!

Nice one, cheers. I'll check the vid when I'm on my home comp next.

Can you drop the needle anywhere on the record and it will play from that point rather than from the start on both of them? I know you can on Serato.

ive heard that the serato version is better so id do some research first :) you can always buy traktor and use it with the rane hardware

ive used serato live and i have to say it is awsome, if you like mixing with vinyl more than cdjs, then i would seriously recomend getting it, if you dont, id still recomend it :P

Think I'll see if I can get a chance to play around with both before I buy.
