Some hardcore dj's you'll hear on compilations play a set style of hardcore depending on the cd but when you go and see hardcore dj's live it's always a different story. They play a wider variety of music rather than the set commercial cheesy style. With this in mind, who do you think is your favorite live DJ/Act & why?

my all time favorite dj wouldn't be a hardcore dj...it would either be plus one, cut chemist or q-bert
why: they use the turntable more as an intstrument than as a tool to play a song

Have to agree brian went to see a load of DMC dj's at earls court a couple years ago is something else to watch infront of you. At that event had the new york champion, the london champion and some random wee guy was better than both of them was an absolute pleasure.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX6GYQeO2Yo = Dj Rectangles 1993 championship winning performance, the best i've ever watched tbh. Gets absolutely ridiculous the stuff he's doing Fav dance music dj i've ever saw would have to be Danny Tenaglia when done a 6 hour tribal house set at dancevalley. Saw him again playing techno in ibiza last year both times just been a cut above any other dj have seen for track selection and planning a set. Downloaded a load of sets and some have disappointed me tune selection wise, think he plays better in europe tbh but thats probably down to what people want to hear.

used to watch the DMC finals when C4 used to show them in the early 90's every DJ was amazing but the thing is they could practice for weeks! I always thought they should give everyone the same 10/20 tracks and say do your best with that then! it would prove who was the best DJ!

yeah anno what you mean paul mate they all get vinyls specially made and have maximum time to practice for the show, but at same time is same rules for everyone and the fact they have the time to practice makes it the quality of technical skills that we get to see.
