Alright, so I have this acapella. I set tempo to say 175bpm. The acapella is about 98bpm. How would I set the acapella to match the tempo? Without speeding it up too much so it doesn't sound like a squirel. I assume I'll need to chop up the acapella into bars. Then I get lost...

I'm on, cubase studio 4.

Another question, with midi keyboards (i got a xiosynth) do you guys normally turn off velocity sensitivity?

prosoniq timefactory or cubase

its usually pretty hard to just time stretch a whole section and get it in time.....

a lotta times ppl have to chop words and phrases and get them to sit on beat or fit

What your looking for is called timestretching.

It alters the tempo of a sample without changing pitch at all.

Prosoniq timefactory is good for that.

well waht you CAN do is set the Song speed to 180bpm and the Accapella speed to 90
i dont think that this will bother you much and the Vocals will match halftime to the song.

Yea, I was looking to do something like what Xayo said, and just chop it up.
But, how would I figure out what tempo to change it to? There some kind of calculation involved? How would I do this in Cubase or is presoniq timefactory better for this?
