OK, i got the acapella of 'Because of you' by kelly clarkson so im just playing around but ive never worked with vocals before, so im struggling a bit.

That is what ive managed, its only a 6 second clip :p but i just want to know if that is the right tempo or if the beat is too fast too slow etc.
please help!

Add me to MSN mate and I'll try and talk you through the various things you can do. [email protected] I'll sign in tonight if you're going to be about? Maybe I can send you some samples then as well.
The main thing you're going to need to do is find out the original BPM and time stretch it. This is easier to do in sections as it's hard to get it 100% accurate and it wont slide out of time as easy this way. You may find you need to chop out individual words and time them better but I can show you how to do this.
