bananaman did exist.. I think his name is Dave Heavey.
he was part of JHAL, the Dee in Sharkey and Dee, and I think he did a track with Blitz on Essential platinum.

It's Darren Heavey actually and I have no doubt that he and Hixxy are different people. And the Awakening is an awesome track, I love the intro on that one

if you need proof, well best i can give you is look at the case for TWO - 3 fade and bananaman rmx of calypso summer. you see a distinct picture of fade and bananaman . everyone knows what hixxy looks like and he is not one of them.. honestly, Hixxy is not Bananaman . there is no doubt in my mind. they are different people.

Actually i believe that Bananna Man is an australian who started mixing with Hixxy about the same time Daydream and Herb started producing under the name of SPITFIRE and released on both australian RED ROCKET recordings and a few British labels
