The next two RFU vinyls are nearly here, supported by the sensational "Hardcore Nation: Next Generation".
I'd say this is certainly one of our best "batches" yet........
( right click, save as )
RFU012:
A - Darwin, In Effect & Buzzy feat Fraz - "Don't Say Goodbye"
AA - Chwhynny & Darwin - "Nothing There"
Well! Something for everyone here. Anyone craving ultra-mainstream-core will be more than sated w/ the almost-RBC-endorsed "Don't Say Goodbye", featuring a stellar vocal from Fraz, and scene-leading production from Darwin, In Effect & Buzzy. Possibly the most "obvious" RFU release to date, but I'm all for straddling the spectrum as long as the balance is there. This balance is ably supplied with what I can only call: The Crossover Track of the Year; "Nothing There". Partycore meets Freeform via credible Trance, with haunting vocals from Chwhynny which appear to be about smothering. (?) I will quite happily profess bias, but I appear to represent the general consensus that this *is* one of the best UK Hardcore tunes of recent times. Overall.. I rather like this release. Irrespective of mood, it pleases me. Both tracks feature on "Hardcore Nation: Next Generation", released physically on June 2nd via Pinnacle.
RFU013 - Nu Foundation:
A - "Want Your Love"
AA1 - "I Can Feel It" ( Breaks Mix )
AA2 - "I Can Feel It" ( Kick Mix )
Our resident Irish talent steps up here with his debut RFU release, and seems to be insistent that there are ravey and uplifting elements left in the modern UK Hardcore scene. "Want Your Love" is a stunning energetic retro late 90's tinged hardcore affair, once again featured on "Hardcore Nation: Next Generation" and for good reason. Possibly his best track to date, and drives along w/ reckless abandon, utterly ignoring current scene conventions with predictably exciting result. The flip offers two mixes of another retro influenced track, in both breaks and kick varieties, allowing those who were there... to pretend it once again could be. Bravo.
Both will be released on JUNE 9th '08, with Digital Release to follow shortly afterwards alongside the first batch of RFUDIGITAL releases. Possibly some freebies too, as we love ( some of ) you.

the breaks mix of " i can feel it" is amazing. "want your love" is quality n all. will defo be adding this to the collection. "don't say goodbye" is way to darren styles for me though, but "nothing there" is good enough for me to buy this one aswell. RFU crew pulling a few tricks out of their sleeves again, nice work.
