I am low on money right now and i need to purchase serato scratch live and that box thing that rane makes. i can get the software for free but is there another cheaper way to get that box thing?

Thats the "little brother" of Serato i think, i never used the software but from what i heard its pretty solid for the price.

Depending on how the software works, you may be able to use any similar ASIO soundcard, but then again the software might look for specific drivers that come with Rane's soundcard and fail to work of you aint got it, I can't say either way though having never tried.
