Hey,

I haven't posted on here before but I've just started making some songs and this is my first one. You will probably recognise the tune.

I'm still an amateur at this moment so it isn't the best song you will ever hear, but it's ok.

Tell me what you think, here is the link : http://rapidshare.com/files/117144702/DJ_BiG-EL_-_Canon_In_D_Major_Remix.mp3.html

Cheers (P.S Sorry if I'm breaking the rules by putting up that mp3)

Hey, not bad for a first track. It leaves a lot to be desired in the engineering department, but I've heard a LOT worse here.

I was working on one a while ago.
The whole track broke and im going ot have to start again when i get time

Ill give this a listen..

oK.

square lead too thin mate, phat it up and make it cover more frequencies. string/saw pad too wet and drowning. bass is a little sluggish. kick needs to be beefed up, not hard or loud enough mate. okay by this stage, the pads/strings are too much, and lose everything in the mix. the engineering of the percussion needs attention. lead is drowing out bass slightly. okay and also so far, arrangement needs alot of attention. track needs to be faster and far more energetic too mate. personally, i dont like bass. yeah mate but, those strngs really drown out. i'd cut alot off the strings and pads personally and turn the vol down a little, among other things but dunno. lead drowns out alot of things, probably too loud too. all over the track there is alot of frequency problems, so maybe pay a little more attention to eqing in the track as a whole. i'd also prob cut lead at 140-150 personally. i just hate clutter of low end, even when its rather small :P

arrangement needs alot of work.

But, dont take this as harsh critisism, as itmay very well be, but, i'm only trying to help you make the finished product as good as it can be!!!

James
