Don't worry mate, Reason can do everything FL can. Just gotta find your way around.
No worries. I'll sort out a midi file! Will give you a good idea of what I'm rambling on about. :P
i think FL is great though. Easy to use and is up with the big boys (Cubase/Logic/etc) sound wise these days.

yeah, you're right bulby, whenever I hear FL tracks they sound really crisp & punchy but if I over do a track on reason by layering to many synths ect, everything seems to get muffled & isn't as pronounced. Also i takes me ages to find a synth that sounds close to new Hardcore, on Reason. I'm sure there must be better synths & stabs on FL than Reason or mabey as you say i'll find a way round it

I agree with bugbear and bulby FL is alot easyer to use than cubase. I borrowed cubase of a freind once and I didn't even have a clue how to work it lol. Bulby and bugbear do you use FL to make your kicks ect? Or do you use other software?

I never use any of the sounds or synths that come with FL for anything. I use V-Station, Blue and Sylenth 1. Quite often when I make kicks for UK Hardcore I'll just get a few samples and layer them using compression and EQ where necessary.

I think i've got the hang of it now bulby. Using the 2 different octaves makes sum difference to a Hardcore track mate. I'm working on it just now so i'll try & let you hear it later on mate

Yeah just read tutorials basically and talk to people to learn more
Warbeats also does great tutorials. Kev Willow does some awesome ones as well but I find the accent a little hard to understand!
Anyway, im still learning but hopefully ill throw a few finished tracks around the forums soon.

You can make kicks or you can just use kick samples. :)
Also Cubase is better for me than FL. FL is confusing when it comes to the playlist somehow, I dunno it's just me. :P

"why is EVERYONE, using Fruityloops?"
A) It's easily pirated, which is probably how most of these kids get hold of it, as XXL edition is about as expensive as Logic.
B) It's user-friendly.
C) It's really REALLY good for dance music.
