I have Stanton cm.203 which I got for Xmas and up until the other day they worked well but now the left mixers has started to go funny, it skips, randomly stops & I can't scan through any tracks!

This is the same problem I had with a personal CD player years ago! It seems that after a while they can't handly anything so go bust!

What should I do? Shall I get them looked at? Is there anyway to fix them when they get like this? I can't record anything as they start & stop & sometimes they can't even read a CD!

I would say it's either the CD, the lense needs cleaning or the surface you have them on isn't suitable.

People will probably say.....dont buy stanton. but i have stanton decks and i love them. It is probably worth getting them looked at, if its just that they are having problems reading discs, buy one of them cleaning discs from argos or somehwere and just play that in it like 10 or 15 times, it might not work, but if it does its well cheaper than new decks or paying someone to fix them

Well im going to get them cleaned as I havn't done that since I got them but im recording something now with no problems (touch wood) but its when trying out tracks together it goes funny!

These are good mixers though & although im still trying to get the hang of them up until now I have had no problems!

The surface is also good as only one did they skip when I moved them once but it is a sold wooden table! It is said they can skip if moved.

Funny in what way? It could be the CD's themselves, sometimes you can burn a CD and it will have an error and skips, slows down, speeds up....

Redwingz, Stanton's are quality from what I've used, was only belt drive vinyl but awsome decks....I loved mine.
