decent speakers for $50? good luck.

most decent speakers/monitors will run you a at least a couple hundred.

if that's your budget I'd just buy some computer speakers and hook those up

i have some old technics speakers, they still sound great and have bass mids and highs so i think i have all my bases covered. they definitely do the job.

... they also match my setup (<-- key) and i paid next to nothing for them.

i can't crank them too high as i still live at home anyway, so what's the point in spending a shit load on speakers/monitors if u can't use them to their full extent? i'm fine with my junkers.

You can't get good speakers for that. :p Will have to get saving if you want any sort of sound quality whatsoever I'm afraid. ;)

Be careful with the Bose headphones, tend to **** up a lot if not treated like gold.

i'm using two of these babies, and although bulky, they do the the job, match my setup and cost me 20$.

i'll be using them 'til they're busted, or until i have 4-500$ to spend on decent monitors.
whatever comes first.
