I'll have you know that it was a state of the art, high definition, 10" Atari monitor. ie; The Dog's B*llocks!

....and we've still got it!

jungle/dnb and hardcore were at one time under the same label...hardcore

so technically if you mean old school 'hardcore,' then yes it is a subgenre =P

I agree with 95_was_the_time on some points, there are a small bunch of people making quite a bit of money in hardcore and the rest virtually nothing.

I've seen tracks turn up on albums that have been rejected by a few labels only to be put on the CD so the DJ releasing it will sign it to their label....basically they'll put a boring sounding track on an album and take 50% of the money for it rather than putting a good sounding track on there that they don't own and getting nothing for it. I'm sure it happens in all genres and I'm not saying it was a bad album or anything, just could have been better with a bigger range of artists / labels.

Hardcore will never die. :)

Those curtains look like they could be from an older era though...

Indeed, your right, Silver! But the thing is with albums like that, I don't buy them anyway lol

It is a shame some artists are making loads of profit while others (ones with new ideas or trying new things) are being left in the dark! I know Hardcore isn't about making money but it is no wonder there is so much 'weak' sounding stuff flooding the scene when other better stuff just dodn't even get a look in!

It won't last as long as 2008-core though as 2008 is a leap year!
