How does an artist decide which Trance track to remix? Like Hixxy, Darren Styles, & Breeze, how do they pick the songs? I think a remix every now and then is ok, but I like it when a producer actually makes their own tracks.

i agree with mortis
most of the time they are shit poor - its a rare occasion where its done well enough to jsutify doing the remix int he first place.
I also agree with bulbs in that sometimes it does sound good slow, and doesnt fast. A good producer should know that - and obviously some of them didnt.

I guess this has gone from Hardcore to Trance, I dont know what the original version of "Rise Again" by Breeze & Lost Witness is, but I like the way the beat sounds in this remix off Clubland 12:

TUNE. But the original is Samuel Barber. ;)
I don't mind them tbh. While I like trance I've never listened to much stuff outside of Hard and Psy so I don't even realise they are remixes half the time. :P I have heard some nice Trance tunes slaughtered by the Hardcore treatment though.
Producers should bear in mind that some things that work at 130 - 140 bpm, don't at 168+.
I disagree. Listen to the "Sandstorm (Audioscape Remix)" of Darude's classic trance tune. I didn't think that song could be more awesome but now it is. You can buy it off IMOdownload.com
