Hi. I was wondering if Sharkey ever release any of his own material any more? It seems to me that all he does is produce tracks, but despite having his own record label, he never actually releases any of his material.
I know he's surpose to have an album coming out, but as Resist has now gone bankrupt, he might as well just release his tracks.

That's a hell of a long way away. By then I expect he'll have a brand new CD's worth of tracks.

march 2009 is a WAY too long waiting time. What if hardcore dies again? then he's fawked, spending multitude of hour since 2002 to make an 2nd artist album for nothing.
Here's some idea's
* Just release it god dammit :P
* Sacrifice some tracks for the CD release. What I know the album is going to be like a 3 Disc compilation.
* Sacrifice some of the tracks for the CD release, and make the rest avaible on on digital (or why not a Data-CD/Data-DVD following the CD release?)

There is also a flipside to that. Kaotik has had what? 11 releases, and Sharkey hasn't yet featured. What other artist can you say that about?. He's doing so much for the up and coming talents, supporting the likes of Darwin, Entity, Ephexis, as well as established folk like Marc Smith & Kevin Energy.
There's plenty from him forthcoming on Kaotik. But with the album on the way, and he's busy with Bonkers 18 - the wait will be just that little bit longer.

Samination has become very amusing recently.
I don't think it's just Sharkey's problem though. The whole Nu Energy Collective has been stagnant for some time (release-wise). In 2008: one vinyl release on Nu Energy, nothing on Relentless, nothing on Kaotik. Plus a handful of quality digital releases.
I don't want to speculate, so maybe Sharkey can shed some light on this issue (as I know he frequents hhc.com forums). I really love the warm and uplifting NEC freeform and the current state of affairs is a bit worrying.

I'm really looking forward to this album:-) I remember when I got his first Album, Hardlife & i've still got it to this day. One of my favorite Hardcore albums of all time. Has anyone else got this album? type it into google & you'll get more info on it. If you ain't got this album, I can't advise it more!!
For some reason though, I don't think he'll be able to top the first one but i'll gladly giv it a listen;-)

well I wasnt around in 96-00, but anyone think hardcore would cool of in 99-00?
And it's not like I actually think hardcore would die (it won't die since I'm not that fond of it anymore :P *pun*), but like Torpex pointed out. Nu Energy has been abit stiff when it comes to releases lately (but Im wondering if it isn't because of their new website seems hard to use and problematic)

Let's hope Sharkey does come onto the forums & I can tell him to get working on a Hardlife no2 LOL. I swear, i'll never tire of this album. I got it when I was about 13 & I can't belive it's 10 years old now. Also the Death by Stereo sample from 'The Lost Boys' is a touch of sheer genuis!!!
