Anheuser-Busch (aka BUD/BUDWEISER) yesterdday was bought out by a Belgian company InBev for 52 BILLION dollors... Many americans (83% of whom being rednecks) are devistated with this news. Most saying they were proud to be bud drinkers now they will have to drink Michelob Golden Draft Beer or Coors....
What is InBev planning on doing? They believe with them behind the company they will make an annual of 1.5 billion savings just from better management alone..they are hoping to tap into the U.S. company's huge marketing power and make the Budweiser and Bud Light brands into globally recognized products akin to Coca-Cola or Pepsi. -_-'
Why did this happen? Well the TRUTH of it is because of America's failing economy and companies such as anheuser-busch will take any chance they can get to get out with some money...

reasons were they wanted to become the leading brewery in the world (and thus lead the market) and use the distribution network of AB to distribute their other (and better) beers in America. And like Coopshire said they want to make Budweiser more readily available in bars in Europe, where they want to rely on the image it has to attract buyers who are influenced by just that. The real beerdrinkers (like most belgians) however don't really give a damn about budweiser since it tastes like water and can hardly get you buzzed.
We'll stick to our own beers mostly (since we've got the best in the world anyway) :p
It's probably going to get a lot easier to get decent beer in the states now that this happened :p
