I'm angry. Have just got Serato and it has no 64bit drivers....? Is this true?
Any way round it without having to install a 32bit operating system?
Can I install two operating machines on my system? So I could boot up in something that would run Serato Live?

You can at least install a dual boot system, where you just choose which OS it boots. I had Linux installed that way, and it works well.

Ok cool. Aparently with my Vista 64 disk I should be able to install the 32 bit version too. How would I go about installing this without wiping anything on my system and be able to choose which OS I use?
Any help would be greatly apreciated! I'm pulling my hair out here!

Not sure how Windows does it, but the Linux installer did it automatically. So dont think its that hard. I'll let someone more experienced give better instructions :P

OK.. Gonna do this a different way. I'm going to get a decent laptop just to run this and store my music on. Don't have to rely on using my mates machine for parties that way!

^^ If you can afford a laptop, id say its a nice "tool" to have. Was in my brothers cottages porch (its in the middle of nowhere), drinking beer and doing some work :D Also when i was in the army i used it alot to watch movies with my mates there. Now needed to record some vinyls, so just took my laptop into the livingroom, and plugged it in to the amplifier and started recording. There are many uses for it that desktops cant do :)
I suggest also saving some money for decent speakers, a mouse and a backpack. If you're gonna use it for music, i bought Logitech's USB speakers (dont need external power), Logitechs mouse (make sure it runs on batterys, if you're going to use it "on the road"), for backpack i got a Targus one, best backpack ive ever had: http://www.targus.co.uk/uk/product_details.asp?sku=CN600

OK cheers mate. I'll certainly be needing a bag at the very least. :) I hate touch pads and those little things on the keyboard too so a mouse will be the way to go I think.
WIll take a look at the speakers too. :) Are they OK on battery drain?

Nothing under 70hz.. I guess that's to be expected from tiny little portable speakers though. :) Would def. have their use.
I actually have a big boom box with a line in.. Could play music through that. Wicked.

If you're only using (listening music etc) it in places that has an amp, id say dont get the speakers yet, cause their rather expensive (the good ones).

Both XP and Vista installes a dualboot when the installer notices a OS of same version or below (I dont think XP can detect Vista, but there should be guides for this, or use VistaBootPRO)

Is Scratch LIVE compatible with Windows Vista?
The short answer is, Yes, with the 32-bit version.
Vista comes in two different versions, 32-bit and 64-bit. Scratch LIVE currently only has a driver for 32-bit Vista and will not work on the 64-bit version.
Check your PC for which version of Vista you are using, to find out:
Click Windows start -> right click computer -> properties and look for system type.
If you have a 64-bit version of Vista installed, then you will need to find your installation DVD, insert the DVD, restart Windows, and it should give you the option of installing the 32-bit version.
A word of caution, if you have been using a 64-bit version of Vista and have saved files then you must back-up these files to an external drive or burn to DVD, as re-installing Windows will delete everything.

In Windows XP, if you went throu the installer without formating, you will only loose the files in the WINDOWS/WINNT folder(s)
