http://www.myspace.com/tehyoshij For all you bonkers 1 lovers and old school happy hardcore fans, I got some tunes for you. My buddy Yoshi J still produces the old 1996 to 2000 cheesecore stuff, which is very rare nowadays. He's very, very talented and wants to bring the old school cheesey sound back into hardcore. He's "putting the happy back in happy hardcore." Checkout the songs on his myspace page. A couple of my favorites are "Honestly," his Mario Gabber Track "Bowser's Chant", and "Ripped Up." Tell me what you think about his choons here or just send him a message if you have a myspace account. Hardcore Love <3

Are these made with Ejay? Because the "You are the one" song uses vocals from an Ejay iv used in the past...
Either way Ejay or not some amazingly happy tunes on there.
Love "Honestly" & "Jumpin"

Teh Yoshi (his old nickname) dont use eJay, but alot of producers have used eJay samples. And I already got him on one IM, so I talk to him from time to time :)

still listenin to the first track "honestly" and to start with, not particularly taken aback, but in fairness this isn't really my thing anymore; very well made and back in the day i would have probably enjoyed it, (but that vocal is a bit to love, love, happiness etc.) so extra kudos for that.
thing that has grabbed me though was from 2:10; went proper casiocore; loved it! put a right chessy grin on my face!
--------------------------------------------
kaechi teochi yoshi really did make me nearly throw up then you hit 1:40. Turned it round, was looking forward to the rest of the track, then it just stopped. A shame.
-------------------------------------------
Just started "Ripped up" and seeings as i am now right off UK happy hardcore the breaks are sounding good....
Track just dropped, and have to say, was expecting more of an explosive powerful kick there. Not bad though. Good vocal and i do like the breakbeat sound to a good rolling trancy feel. Very much in two minds about this track actually. Got elements about it I have to say i actually hate, but at the same time has got a very good personal style to it. can tell it was given plenty of thought.
I'd love to hear this track made up to be a bit darker, like a jungle/breakbeat track, because it has the perfect melody for it and the breaks themselves are already there, wouldn't alter them at all! put a darker edge on that, and i'd really, really like that track. (I'm thinking something like the uplifting but powerful bassline under "We're flying" but not sure, i'd experiment!
------------------------------------
"You are the one" just come on. I like this track..... to be straight i think this one is closest to the feel of that era against the other tracks so far. Like how well you've stuck to that.
Not much more to say for that one. not a bad track.
------------------------------------
Jumpin' Hmmmmm........seeing a pattern with these tunes now. Good and quite loyal to the old sounds but all seem to be missing a certain layer in them. Should be a heavy and hard beat to this, but it just seems to fall a bit short! You could make the beat a bit harder but i suppose that would sort of pull away from the happiness of it which is what you were going for. So for what it's worth, really decent tune, but again, just not quite for me so well done nonetheless!
-----------------------------------
Bowser's Chant. If i didn't love mario world so much when i was younger, i think this track would just confuse the shite outta me for sheer silliness of the mario tune over quite a hard kick (which i love by the way). Decent track but as i say, if it weren't for loving mario as a kid, think it would probably just be strange and annoying after the first minute.
Summing up for me personally, couple years ago, yea, would've really enjoyed these tracks, they do have a great charm to them which in fairnessdoes say a lot coz nowadays this sorta of style generally does annoy me apart from a few select which i still hold dear so massive well done for that. On the flip side of that though, can still see great potential in some of these tracks if you were to make them just dirtier and harder, particularly with "Ripped Up"
Damn good effort mate, keep it up! You clearly have a great talent!
(P.S. before anyone says anything about how long i've gone on for, a) i didn't force you to read all that, and b) i've not slept for two days now and its either sit up and listen and review tunes or lie in bed staring at the ceiling wanting to kip )
