I can make choons with ease but i'm looking for ways to make better sounding piano melodies & a sort of a wobbly jump up style bassline. Any tips? In fruity Loops is there a way of recording vocals to add to a choon as i have a friend who is a top notch singer & want to add a beat to it. Also how can i make my choons sound more professional. Basically when i finish a choon it has that unprofessional sort of computery sound if that makes sense. Lastly what is the best way to take vocals from an MP3 & add it to my own sound. I'm not into pinching choons or anything like that, i just want to have a play around at home.
Thanks :)

piano melodies?
just grab a piano rip bank. or get nexus and get the piano expansion. wobbly jump up basslines are just any type of bass really with some LFO mucking round wif..
to record vocals i'd goto a studio and get the singer to sing over whatever, like chords or shit, and then the engineer to mix it down, compress and eq it.
practice. learn how to mix and arrange better, and also, slowly, your synthesis will improve
well. i dont really know. maybe you're using too many presets, and too many crap vsts or something... to get a pro sound you need to layer imo to acheive thickness and certain sounds. maybe its the samples you're using too.
vocals cant be removed cleanly from an mp3. i know of one way but it requires two copies of exact tune, one with vocals, and some software.. but if ur meanign direct rips.. use anything lol... i just se the thing in fl studio that it coms with, just load the audio clip and put in the pattern sequencer and edit, and chop.. etc...
although, i actually don't sample. it can get you into a lot of trouble.

just an add for singers... i dunno wot u intend to do but if u got a singer that will come to you to sing vocals u can make the tune first then go to the beginning of the tune hit record and itll start playing when you make the person sing in the mic itll automaticly inserts the vocals in FL after that u can trow some effects over it to make it sounds more filled up, like reverb 2 does magic on that..

you dont necissarily need to have a finished track done.
singers can sing over using chords etc. i thnik its better too, cos you can write the track to suit the vocals etc.

i prefer the vocals to be adjusted to the chords instead of the other way around.. more bcuz the tracks in my head as i want it nd not in the singers head ;)
