Ok, Its been a long time since I posted any new stuff on my myspace. Ive been working on a track and ive put up a 1 minute 30 seconds clip on my page for you guys/gals to listen to and tell me what you think.
This is a hardcore song, not donk...........for once lol.
Please tell me what you think as i am always tryna improve.

The bass sux.
Percussions need to me more better.
Levels need to be better.
Melody is ok.
Not much I can say really.

Is 'The Method' a remix of 'Beam of Sun' 'cos the Bassline's the same?
The Bass doesn't suck, it's just too loud and could do with being layered or EQed to give it some actual Bass.
The lead sound's good but, imo, use what you've got there and write a new melody.

No its not a remix of beam of sun lol, its just that CAFG is the only note progression I know lol, so its always a bar of c then a then f then g lol.

Yes.
Once you've come up with a new 'tune', create a Bassline that fits it. If you use the same Bassline in everything
all your tracks will sound the same, or so similar that people will take the p*iss.

yeah I agree with ionosphere. when i crete tunes, I build up a nice melody then build around it.

i always think the same thing with peoples tunes. EQ your tracks as if your life depended on it! Levels are always sooo jacked its a shocker people dont realize it.
I liked it though.

Can't really add much to what has been said. Layer your sounds, add EQ and compression where it's needed.
Your tracks sound quite bare and empty. Try listening to a similar style track to what you're trying to make and try and replicate the fullness of the track. It's all about filling the frequency and stereo fields.

Yeah i know what you mean Bulby, i always feel like my tracks sound too empty, its really annoying lol its definitely something i need to work on
