theres one thing I've always noticed on this site, and its people asking if a CD contains unmixed tracks! WHY? the whole point of hardcore music is for it to be played by a DJ and be mixed, Is it becuase you wan't to have a CD of unmixed tracks for your own DJ'ing purposes or are you really sad and like to hear a hardcore track from start to finish? (theres not many that are worth it) I always think if the tracks that good buy it!

Well, even if I didnt mix, I would rather prefer unmixed single edits (not cuts) instead of mixed.

I often make "cuts" myself when i add tunes to my mp3-player (i also speed them up a bit, cause their usually too slow). But i prefer to deside myself which parts of the song are just mixing intros/outros and which are the good parts. Also the mixing today seem to be 1,5 minute long tunes, which sucks.

i mix, but i also think that it's nice to hear the full version of a track sometimes, the built up intro and all that.
mixing is sometimes poopy and sound quality is poor.
why would you accuse someone of being "really sad"a when their tastes just differ from yours a bit?
the reason that people ask about unmixed singles is probably because they want a good quality version of a tune AND because they don't have to search for a rare, used old record that someone is asking WAY too much money for.
i think that seems logical.

CDJs.
Myself I like to have unmixed for two reasons, to mix and also that alot of CD's these days edit tracks so you get the full track as it's intended.

I like both. I just bought "Feel This Way" by Gammer & G Spencer because the track iis only what, 2:00? maybe on the Bonkers 14 mix. It reallly like the track. But I also like mixed cds because I like how the energy flows (usually) between the tracks.

I prefer mixes in general, keeps the flow going and like hearing dj's style, slection and skills.
Plus i still dj vinyl mainly so no need for full rips of tunes, although yeah do on serato sometimes so in that case would want full tracks

Yeah I mainly use vinyl so like to have mixes just so I can check out what's new really. I do have Serato as well now though so some un-mixed tunes that I don't already have could be a nice bonus. :)
I agree with Whispering though, I'm not keen on only a couple of min (or even less) of tunes being played in mixes. I like to hear more of the track than that!

Once upon a time, many years ago, in the dim and distant past there was only vinyl.
If you liked a tune you bought the record.
You could listen to it from start to finish without someone else cutting it short and mixing it into something you didn't like.
You could mix it on your decks with other records that you did like.
Marvelous.
Unmixed it is then.

Yeah unmixed is good, cause you can listen to the whole track and its a great DJ tool.
From a DJ and producers point of view especially, unmixed is wicked

I defently think unmixed is better cause a lot of people mix and if people dont use CDJ's they use timecoded vinly or even midis
but equaly its good to hear other peoples mixes so thats why i liked the 6CD set called Hardcore and others from decadance which had 3CDs mixed 3CDs unmixed and some of them had some good songs on them but u just cant find it now a days unless u really look around
