highlight the right part, cut it & paste to a new file, you'll be left with the left..... not sure what your trying to do to be honest, but when you got the track split you should be able to do what your thinking of doing?????

Iv tried that and i ended up with loads of different tracks. And its loooooong doing that lol. What im doing is putting an audio iv recorded over a set but every so often the sound recording sort of skips (from maximising and minimizing things). So before every lyric that i need to read (new material on notepad files) it makes it slightly out of time. And it needs sorting. Think im just going to have to delete tiny bits of dead air to try and sort it.

same happened here mate, i MC'ed over a mix that Ken Masters gave me, and i recorded it to audacity and then put them both together, but it didnt fit for some reason, as time went by the lyrics were further and further out of sync

Yea when iv recorded using Audacity it doesen record in time, but what i did was record using another programme then import it into audacity to edit it together. The reason it was out of sync was because i was using pretty much all new material so i had to keep openng notepad files and that made the recording jump, it even jumped when people messaged me on msn which is kind of annoying but iv got it as close to in sync as i can il post it up as soon as its done uploading.
Edit: its done thread here
