So DJ'ing wise. How do you make ya mixes smooth beside having the songs perfectly beatmatched and gains right.
How do you swap the bass? Rapidly or slowly?
What do you do after you have swap bass etc... kill any mids, highs?
Put any effects on to make mix smoother?
etc... get my drift? :)
Share some techniques. :)

Depends on what tracks your using, and just knowing the songs down to the last beat.
Takes a lot of practice, so keep practicing!

agree with DJ_Axiom..
depends on your style and so on... i personally mix fast and dark tracks nd love to rip em appart.. that means.. nicely beatmatches gainst pull open and yup play with the crossfader.. then just drop it in at some moment nd either fade out the first track to the high notes or the low ones .. (if ya get wot i mean...)
honestly i think you should develop your own style of mixing :) make yaself unique with it ;)

smooth like peanit buttah?
the way i try to do it, beatmatch as perfectly as you can, no bass on the in coming track, and bring it in real slow like on the 8, 2, 3, 4. increase bass and... no bass switches. i just find they sound poopy and i can never get em right.
just let them play, less is more when mixing i think. overkill on effects and switching between channels can ruin a mix.

haha class
depends on what your mixing...and not everyone mixes the same. don't use effects if you are starting out; easiest way to tell if it's a person new to djing.
most of the time I'm usually playing with the faders than the gains.

Does depend on the tracks, and the kind of vibe you are trying to make.
If I wanna make it supah smooth I generally adjust the EQ and gradually, smoothly bring one track up and the other down. MMMMM UP AND DOWN UP AND DOWN UP AND DOWN UP AND DOWN

Seriously, Track knowledge helps, remembering bass sounds, FX, fills, Leads, Vocal placments is allways a bonus too.

Study your songs like you study for exams, learn where the best mixing points are and then do what you think is right, after all thats the whole point of being a DJ.
Just practice practice and practice, youll eventually get the hang of things and develop your own style.
