Well after the sanctuary festival i spotted a thread pop up on DSI about the chavs at raves. First off i never knew that pretty much all other types of dance music hated us lol. And the fact that they think that we bring trouble to most of the raves. I know that in the past few years the scene has grown immensly so threfore we have inherited alot of dick heads but i had no idea it was this bad.
Heres the thread:
http://www.dontstayin.com/uk/winchester/matterley-bowl/2008/aug/08/event-148953/chat/k-2771434#Comments

So what are your thoughts on this?
Especially the fact that people think hardcore ravers cause more trouble than DnB ravers? (which i personally find shocking)

you'll find chavs everywhere i dont think they are linked to DnB nor Hardcore... their just pathetic pricks imo :) been to uk last month nd gotta say beeing in the rave rooms ppl were nice nd stuff.. go to a room where DnB is played bump into someone nd you pretty much lay against the wall now im not gonna judge DnB lovers based on 1 thing... cud be just that dude who was a right ******* but overall i dont think ravers cause more trouble then any other clubber

It's a load of shit mate tbh. I've never had any real trouble at a hardcore rave and I've been to hundreds. 95% of the people who go are safe I find. There has been an increase of wankers over the last 5 or so years I'd say. Still no more than at a house, breaks, etc. party though.

Mainstream DnB parties are a lot more moody. Lot of pricks at those sorts of parties. The more underground DnB parties and the Liquid DnB parties etc always seem to be fine though!

and chavs have as much right to go raving as everyone else! sort it out! and if u didnt notice, if there wernt any chavs in the hardcore/d'n'b scene then there would be hardly any people there!

Are these people really so narrow minded?
Ye of course there's a few chavs in hardcore - doesn't mean they're all wankers mind - but there are people who are seen as "undesirables" in every type of music out there.

Hardcore - chavs
DnB - Wannabe rude boiiiis

But that doesn't mean they're all automatically there to start some shit. They (the DSI tits) are just being a bunch of pricks tbh. The post started out by merely pointing out that there was chavs at the festival, nothing about what sort of music they were listening to and then a few wankers have to go spouting their narrow minded, bull-shit and obviously biased views.

FFS, why do i let wankers get me so worked up lol.

Reading that thread there i'd say he has a good point, speaks far more sense than rest of them tbh.

Yeah get some really moody dnb rooms but seen more people get bust open in hardcore parties than anywhere else. It's not that bad but if you think everyone into hardcores a fluffy boots care bear kinda guy your very mistaken.

PLUR doesnt exist you go to a massive slammin vinyl event expect loadsa dicks, stand up for yourself if anyone tries take the piss is rare you'll get any hassle.

I'd say going up town is 79.332% worse than a rave tbh. ;) Always fights, stabbings, etc.

Very true goin out gettin pissed gonna see lot more shit than anything else, is alcahol in general does make people act mental.

Just reading that on dsi makes me laugh. Read that website couple times now all seem plurheaded posh folk who think everyone into hard dance/hardcore is supposed to be on some love tip.

Get a grip raving aint that dangerous people give you or your pals shit stand up for yourself. Plain common sense

I'd say the percentage is even higher than that. To get trouble at a rave i think you really have to provoke it and even then it would be rare. Also if there is any trouble then there is loads of security about, which you don't get in the streets in a town. Towns at night are just full of pure scum.

Im on DSI and all the time ive been on there ive come to the conclusion that the people that slag off hardcore and hardcore raves are those that generally dont like hardcore and wouldnt piss on it if it was on fire! so imo its all biased, but then again i guess thats with alot of music genres like DnB (altough thats known for its trble)..

But throughout hte years ive been raving ive only ever seen 1 fight and ive only ever been close to getting involved in 1 fight myself.. I dont know what it is about Hardcore Raves but the time i nearly got involved it really didnt take alot for me to walk away from it rather than get involved whereas if it was in a club or on the street, then i wouldnt have walked away...

So people saying Hardcore Rave's are bad or full of chav's are just those that dont like hardcore in general and find they quite biased!
