I'm happy with my DJ equipment now & have decided it's time to get my ass in gear & get sum proper studio equipment, the only thing is, I don't know where to start? I've been hunting for a set of NS10, even thought they are discontinued, as i've heard they are the ultimate when it comes to studio monitors but don't know if it's too much of a gamble to pay so much for second hand speakers. I've also been told that I'll need to get an external soundcard to link them up to my PC but will this be all i'll need?
Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks:-D

Why an external sound card? Do you have a lappy?
There is loads of decent monitors available tbh mate... I'd just go for something else you can get new. Would never buy speakers second hand off someone I don't know tbh. It's like buying a keved up car (likely been ragged).
I've got an Echo Mia Midi and a pair of KRK 6's. Do the trick for me but there is loads to pick from that will do the job just fine.
The one thing I would say is you're probs best off going for active monitors for a first pair. You dont want to be messing around with matching up an amp and everything at this stage.

Nice one, cheers Bulby. I was talking to my mate Dennean & she was sayin that you're better off with an external soundcard to stop excess noise from the PC but if mine will do the job, i'll be happy. I'm looking to buy an awesome set of speakers as I hate half assing it when it comes to this sort of stuff, u know man. I honestly would spend 400+ if needed just to get a kick ass set of monitors & know that if it sounds right on them, then it will sound right through any other stereo.
How much did you pay for yours again Bulby & what others do you advise that might be a bit more expensive?
