Well if it gives you any comfort the summer is pretty bad over here too, barely saw the sun but lots of rain though.

this is the first summer i have ever lived in the UK and i think i can safely say that you will never see the sun ever again :P :P :P

We are in winter now here in Sydney getting kind of cold 16C degrees during the day is freezing...hehehe
Guess it doesn't compare to the UK weather

yeah you probably dont want to do that.
New years day has a habit of getting up to about 40 degrees for some reason. Hotter on the beach.
Its more fun to have a BBQ at a mates place with bevies and a pool. Wicked day.

im in the last of my 2 weeks summer holiday from work.
i decided not to go away this year & boy am i regretting every minute of it!!
strange how the sun shines when you're at work tho!!

two weeks ago on friday was probably the coldest day so far. massive cold front came in from the coast. temperature dropped heaps and there were large sleet falls just south of Sydney. Some friends have photo's of the front rolling in. pretty crazy
New years day does seem to be quite warm for some reason. it was a lot of sun this year got quite burnt. nyd 06 was one of the hottest days sydney has ever had (second hottest i think), officially 46 at Lucas Heights weather station (the reactor (pretty much where i live =P)) but reports of 48 out west.
