I'm no longer buying cigarettes or Drinking unless it's a Rave... Hard to understand but 3 Packs a Day is a waste of my already stupid mind! Look I don't really think a lot about stuff, I just live a lonely life with my Decks and my Mom! Time to go to You Tube! And Ravers are very Jaded in Chicago... Confusion!!!

Leave the greens and ravin alone for a bit mate sound like your getting yourself stressed out over a few weirdos you no from partying?

Give it a few quiet weeks away from the madness you'll either prefer it or jus be glad of the break and wanna go back to it with a clearer head.

I do think a big part of the problem with green is its quite mild and you can get about your day normally fairly easily, especially if your used to smoking it.

Not like with drink or heroin where people are absolutely cabbaged and are no use to anything, you can quite easily go to work, study, go to the gym or whatever while smokin a fair whack of green. Obviously skunk and the stronger stuff will make you worse than the milder, more natural stuff aswell.

But yeah cos you get so used to your little bubble you dont really notice how much it does affect you, day after day, year after year doing anythings bound to.

But yeah anyone who says its not addictive is lying to you, you do have to absolutely rip the piss out of it for a long time to get to that stage but it does happen. Basically its a good drug but the fact that theres no comedown and the side effects are minimal for a long time makes it very easy to rip the piss out of.

I agree with Chris B - I smoke a couple of green doob's every night (have done for years) and yeah I feel baked but I still hold down a job, social life etc - but if I don't have ANY smoke before I go to sleep then I'm awake for hours tossing and turning, that's the level it can get to, your not going to be mugging old women in the street for your next quarter but you do it long enough and the mind craves it

Anyway me and my girl are about to start trying for a baby so were planning on coming off it in th e next month or two - any advice?

If you can do it exercise + eating healthily will help cos the exercise will knacker you out and help stop the insomnia which makes it a bastard to give up, and you'll feel a lot better for it.

Then basically filling up the time you spend smokin with something else, whatever that may be. I end up reading shitloads and watching documentaries on the internet but whatever you can think of really mate. Try and get out and about seein mates that dont smoke it aswell cos that'll pass the time.

If you slip up at any time, out and about, comedowns or whatever dont let it defeat you into doin it every day again.

Dunno if my advice is that good though tbh, started and stopped so many times is ridiculous

i used to be 1 of those people that said ill smoke it till i die but i started getting bad headaces when i smoked it and i just came off it and aint had a spliff in 2 weeks now!, i have now found out that the headaces were due to my eyes and in need glasses (too much time on the PC!!!!) and now im thinking about it but just pure determination helps i convinced myself that the headaces were due to weed and used that bad effect to come off it, but if i didnt have the headaces then i defently would be smoking it now, also ive got a 8th in my draw at home and knowing that its there also helps as i used to screw when i didnt have it, it sounds like uve got a good thing going and if you both help each other through it im sure ull be fine ;)

Bugbear is right. chewing gum. Not any chewing gum though, and not nicotine gum. Quit cold turkey using airwaves chewing gum. They were the only thing that worked for me (but that was only for ciggies) coz they're just really powerful. couple of those in your gob take mind off it.

As for the trying to go a kip, camomile tea mate. 2/3 bags in hot water, let it brew for aaaaaages til its actually just warm, then down the lot and it really puts you to ease. Best if you don't wanna take sleeping tablets and stuff like that. Trust me on that though it works, so good luck with that

Still smoke cigs at 34 and the most hardcore to give up and I have done most things at some stage. Alcohol I stayed clear of until I came to Belgium in 2000 only then cos I couldn't be arsed to go to Holland every weekend. Became a serious larger head but gave it up this summer, easier than I thought. As to the puff, smoked since I was 13ish,need to have a break every now and again otherwise its a stoner's life ( everyday can't be a party ) Trouble is, either get blasted and paranoid or just get use to it then no buzz just slow normality. Balance innit. No more Bongs but then no water on the lungs. Older you get the more you notice little things like Billy or a Sinutab? I suggest drink three coffees have a sinutab and an energy drink its pretty much the same except you can sleep eat and feel ok the next day. Ok so scotch and coke or Teq slammers still mess me up a bit but more fun than weeing out beer all night.
Usually I find the stuff you do only equals the people you are with and the place you are at or in.
Rave with no drugs or drugs and no rave. I'll take the party with my mates.

Its all about beat, all about bass all about ravin with you mates.

Stick together and keep a good crew together.

Life is about living, anything you don't enjoy don't do it stop. Noone dies from giving anything up.

Usually its about esteem and whilst its nice to be important its more important to be nice.

I want to be hardcore till I die but I would prefer death around 100 rather than 40.

Cheers for all the advice there, couple of good tips to help me end the cravings - been drinking the camomile tea for a couple if days now and it's really helped my sleeping so that was a top tip. Off to Spain in three weeks for a fortnight and once we're back the grass and cigs will be going bye-bye - will be hard, but then if it was easy, it wouldn't be worth it i suppose

The big thing is the people you smoke, chill with... Don't smoke by yourself and leave it at parties or with Ravers!
