The guy didnt even go to the house and i do see the point they have of entrapment, is a very risky show.
Definitely something i find interesting on what rights media have and how far they can take there powers for a good story that will get ratings and advertisers etc.

Seen an episode a few weeks back. Couldn't help but laugh, but i don't know if it's right to at times. Does really blur the lines of the reality of what's going on for the sake of entertainment. But like a few have said at least it's catching the sick f*cks.

Love that program. As for the fella that topped himself, fantastic. One less disgraceful excuse for a human being to worry about.
But yea, this show is brilliant. Chris Hansen, what a legend.
He should be knighted.

Yep, it seems to be at least borderline entrapment (though I can't say for sure... no legal expert). People argue that these peoples' lives are being toyed with in order for TV ratings--which is a completely valid arguement. That being said, it's hard to have any sympathy for these sort of people. Pretty rancid behavior.

not too sure about US laws, but im pretty sure that here in the UK that would be classed as entrapment and therefore even with evidence, there is nothing the police could do about it

Yeah I'm not exactly sure where the line is legally, but I was pretty sure that these guys *are* being arrested over here. Basically the show turns them in to the police and they're arrested based on the evidence the show put together?

I don't know, i think it's a good idea to have this kind of sting operation put it sometimes makes for painful viewing.
I've also heard that on some of the older episodes they didn't use to arrest the guys, which is strange.

Been seeing this for a long long time. It's Gary Glitter style TV. Jokes aside I'm pretty sure most of them don't get jailed cos they plead entrapment and actually win.
Not that that makes them any less dangerous.
