I just picked up on the Charges because I liked the kit, simple as that. When we got NFL back in the 80's we really only had on TV the Skins, Dolphins, Raiders but it was all about the 49'ers - when they had Montana and Rice leading the team, great team and they seem to win everything so I was a sort of fan of them but I liked the Charges kit more...wish I had stuck with the 49'ers after Super Bowl XXIX

I do have a soft spot for the Packers though.

New York Football Giants here... and I wouldn't be too sad about the Vikings, give Tavaris Jackson time and I think he'll be at the very least above average, and with Peterson and Taylor that's all he needs to be.

Thats what everybody says, is to give Tavaris Jackson time..but to me he just doesnt look like he can play that position man. Hes been in the league for 3 years now and he just looks like at tops should be playing college football. I just dont care what kind of facts you give to me for that guy, he is NOT a good QB.

And the problem with giving the ball to Peterson all the time is that he is going to wear him out, and the defenses are going to pick up on it quickly. They got Bernard Berian who is an excellent receiver, so I would like to see Tavaris throw to him a bit.

I hate the comparison between the two, really the only things that are similar is the shape of the ball, the shape of the posts, similar tackles at times and similar kicks at times. Other than that they are nothing alike in respect of a game.

And for the record, alot of Rugby players where pads to protect themselves which is usually the other point thats brought up. The reason why American Football players where pads is a) to stop injuries and b) at the start on the 20th century alot of players where being killed due to the style of tackles and rules of the game, the rules where changed and protective gear brought in to reduce the high mortallity rate.

Rugby players got a bit of foam on the shoulders, gum shield and a foam helmet (for the girls) as protection. American football players are pretty much geared up for war the amount of protection they've got. Americans are pussies

But yeh, nothing like rugby really, and i think we all know which is better anyway.
