There's a slight chance I might be taking a trip over across the pond, which I'm pretty excited about, (even though its a really really slight chance.) It'll be during may, and I'm hoping to hit up any parties I can + any other music related things that would be awesome to see (record shops that sell old acid house, or dubstep, or HHC?) Just curious if there's anything music wise I'd have to check out before my trip would be over.

Go to any town in the Uk you will find some sort of club which plays something, but it is the bigger cities with a wide choice in music!
London would be one place to check out if you want early rave as there are vast areas of records shops but I couldn't tell you where they are! Also Manchester & I supose Liverpool have had links to music so it is worth checking them out!
I live on the south coast & we have only one or two record shops left that sell anything 'rave' related as most people get stuff online!

My advice would be to avoid all footie related stuff as you will end up in conversations like this thread.
If you are looking for jumping time has to be London, Brum or Manchester and easy enough to get to on the train. Plenty of Hardcore shops to find there and all the in between like say Bedford has a good shop.
That said if you want the most beautiful landscapes then head Wales..do Cardiff, Swansea then go to Pembrokeshire. If you have the time shop in two last cities mentioned then stand on Monkstone beach near Tenby then walk to Saundersfoot when the tide goes out via the Glen beach. Should you have some spare time after that head up to Aberystwth. A town of only 16,000 with an added 8,000 students in term time. 42 churches but 46 pubs. Three clubs and although closing times are earlier the the rest of UK you will probably find yourself in a mad welsh cottage at an after party. Welsh free party cru rule.
careful on the train times..the town is like Oz, you have to click you heels three times to get out..beware the Abertrap!!

If you're going for record shops and parties the best place you can go is London. If you're wanting to see whatever else the UK has to offer it's probably one of the worst. ;)
