why do people always mention this mix as being great! its the worst bonkers mix of all of them (inc hixxys B14) its the only CD on all bonkers albums I've only played once! Just don't get it?

before a smart ass says that trancecore/freeform was allready about I KNOW but this mix was a massive eyeopener to the stuff for many.

I dunno, his Bonkers 2 mix was more of an "introduction" to Trancecore. His Bonkers 3 mix was just a full on Trancecore mix. Some tracks are ok, but I am not a fan of Trancecore or Freeform, so ya...

I'm a huge fan of Freeform & the earlier version, Trancecore & I think Sharkey's Bonkers 3 CD is one of the best in the Hardcore selection. When I was younger I used to put it aside as I like the the more cheesy sounds of hardcore but if u open your mind & actually give these old Trancecore CD's a listen, I think you'll realise just how futuristic & mind blowing they really are!

i ****ing hate that word "trancecore" especially when it sounds nothing like trance,but back on topic i like the mix some quality tunes on it, couldn,t be bothered naming some of them

Personally, its one of my favourite mixes from the early Bonkers era. But I guess everyone has their different opinions and I understand not everyone likes the freeform sound.
My favourite tracks include:

I have always thought Sharkey was way overrated,and i would have to agree that mix was pure piss another coaster to the collection!
The only thing Sharkey has done that i have like was the remix of Seb - Rainbow Islands

Bonkers 3 Sharkey mix is FABULOUS! I don't listen much to anything pre-Bonkers 8 but this mix is AWESOME! So many strong tracks, especially the first half! My favourites got to be:
UFO - Inner Sanctum
Ramos & UFO - The Ravechief
DJ Supreme & UFO - Trip To The Other Side
Coincidentally, they're the first three tracks, too, not counting the intro.

nice one, i'm glad to see a lot ravers still paying respects to that style that Sharkey pushed back then. One of my favorite hardcore Albums has to be Sharkey- Hardlife! What sharkey has done for the scene is unexplainable! What a guy;-)

if you dont like freeform, your probably not going to like sharkeys B3 mix.
if you want to give it a chance, fast forward into each song a little and just start listening from when the melody kicks in...

If you don't like early freeform/trancecore, you're not going to like that mix. Simple as that. :)

Just reading the thread again and one of my old vinyl popped into my head!
Its a whitelabel with nothing on it but i do believe it sharkey & druid - bonkers anthem, it goes something like this...................

I'd imagine this is over 10 year ago i bougth this so could be way of with the name but if that sharkey then that tunes quality! Am going to have to rake that one out:)
