I don't really see what he could do about it, it's his fault for lending it and if he dosn't get it back, it's no one elses fault but his for taking the risk to begin with right? I can't see how the court would see it any differently.

I'd say there is no way you will manage to get it unless she decides to give it to you. Small Claims court wont get you the money. There is no evidence to show them. Ya stuffed basically.

Spoox - In the UK, if somebodys windows gets put through, the council will repair it for free, however, throw a bucket of Emulsion over them and they don't do jack sh*t :D

in all honesty unless she's gonna cough up there's not much else you can do. personally, i'd just go round the house and talk about it and try and appeal to her human side. It's not fair, you tried to help out, she's used you, you wanna still be mates. feed her stuff like that sayin you wanna be friends still and whatever and if she buys it and you get your 300 drop her like a tonne of bricks.
if the nice chatty sympathy for old love card doesnt work, if she's got a car, you got tyres to slash paint to scratch engine to fill with sugar, take your pick.
will cost more than 300 to fix and will be damn funny hearing about it after.
n.b. for added effect, ALWAYS remain perfectly nice, it's that much more frustrating for her and funny for you.

What sort of logic is that? So if I borrow some money from someone, and don't pay them back, that's their fault?

has anyone got any proof that she actually took the £300? like a signed agreement! if not your f**ked! doesn't matter if it was signed on a beer mat, toilet paper, or scraped on a stone, unless both parties agreed with the amount and signed an agreement then its got no chance! (this is why lawyers are rich) you and your dad says she had the money she can say she never ever had it!

yeh theres some miserable ****ers out there u do them a favour and they throw it back in ur face,last year i bought this friend a ticket 2 go 2 a rave,paid 4 his bus,carry out and lent him money 2 go,it cost me £140 i think but i only ever seen £20 of it,so the last time i seen him i was going 2 knock his shite in but a few fellas stopped me and i haven,t heard r seen him since and i,m happy buy that
