I've probably underused Fruity Loops and before this track my knowledge was novice. However, I felt like giving producing another go. I've been using the Kev Willow tutorials from the start and every thing i know is thanks to those. The bass, the beat, the melody. Everything. And so, I had a go at remixing his famous tutorial tune from the 'how to make a breeze and styles sound' video. Having seen Ken Masters have his attempt at it, I tried.

I encorage critique and stuff. I know its not perfect but im such a noob at this. After finishing it, I know basically what can be improved to it and how to go about it. However, I'd still like to hear some advanced critique!
Personally, this is my best attempt at a hardcore track of late. My mates like it so heres your chance to give it a gander.

Not bad mate, Try bringing down the level of your lead, mabey add some reverb to it and a small amount of compression. Layout is good but could do with more precision hats and crashes ect,
nice attempt man, keep at it man and im sure u will do well,

thanks for the tips
some parts need altering where volume and panning is concerned. also, i think some parts are too limited.
I changed my MSN because my prior one had 455 contacts. having not used it in about 3 months i forgot my password.. :/

Just had a listen there Olly & it's sounding ok. Very different & a bit trippy with the style of notes but the beat is lost quite badly behind the track at some points & it kinda looses it's momentum. Also like Buzz said, you could try & bring your lead down a touch which might be over powering the beat a bit.
It's deffo a step in the right direction Olly & sounds great for it being one of your first tracks. It can only get better from here man! Keep @ it!

thanks mate,
I'll try balance the sounds a bit better next time around. the mixerpresets were all knobbed up by the time i'd finished.. that explains the trippy sound. thanks for your feedback :)

Cleaned it up a bit. Thoughts? Its not immaculate but still, it sounds decent enough to me.

agreed, good job acid!
I think it needs a diferent kick, its not kicking enough ;)
the claps and hats get lost when the main melody in playing.
the bass is quite loud, it sounds louder than the melody and the kick.
aaaand, maybe EQ a bit the lead so it sounds more bright

I think you need a little louder claps (if its possible), and maybe bass cause all I'm getting is the bassy sound, but no bass.
hope this helps rather than ruining, but that's just how I would like to hear it.
P.S. I am not a producer myself so I dunno if any of these things is possible.
