Its the mix that went on the 12" vinyl mate.
" is standard marker for "inch"
so it means, 12 inch mix - the vinyls used in hardcore are 12".
I'm sure there are some random ones that arent though, maybe?

i never thought it meant anything.
it could be fancy word for final.
i dunno. it's probably just some cool DJ jargon to throw in there because they couldn't think of another name.

12" Mix means that certain mix is only available on 12" Vinyl. The same way you find Radio Edit only available on Single CD's. Also i think 12" Mix is the full length extended version of a choon.

Strange, because I never heard "15' Mix" or "11' Mix", why is it always 12 ?

It's because 12" is the standard record size.
You can get 10" and 7" records plus a load of other shapes and sizes but it's pretty rare these days.
A 15" record wouldn't fit on a record player. ;)

Yeah bulby is right a vinyl is 12 inches, thats diameter btw. Its a 12 inch mix because it is on the 12 inch vinyl. 12 inch mixes are usually longer because they are used by DJs

usually 12" (or 10"/7") means the original, or a mixable track. Since most UK Hardcore is/was released on Vinyl, it wasn't really needed.
Most CD-R singles I've seen contain the 12" mix aswell

There isn't a specific weight. It varies a fair bit depending on the quality of the pressing and the data on it.

I can't see how they would all be the same. I have some records that are quite thick while other are quite thin & flimsy.
