i'd be interested in reading this.
did you have to do this for school or for pleasure?
as far as i know, some really unstable dude in seattle a few years back shot some people up at an after party.
this could be a good book!

yeah, and we miss them dearly. they weren't just some people, some of them were hardcore ravers. as in happy hardcore and uk hardcore fans alike.

that's terrible really. it's really hard to even wrap my mind around why someone would attack such fun loving people.
ravers are supposed to be really peaceful people, and then there's that guy...
from what i read, he had some serious underlying mental issues though.

he wasn't a raver though. just a guy with a lot of guns and a pissed off view of ravers.
as a catholic i'm asked to forgive those who trespass against us, but i've found that to be a rather difficult task.

Maybe he was a trancer or houser? My brother almost got glassed at a party for raving at a trance-house party
Back on topic though, I do really like the idea of this book

Hi, pleased to see that some of you are interested in this!
I'm actually a bit old to have done it for school, it was more of a challenge set to me by my girlfriend to keep me occupied while she was studying for a degree.
Once it was completed, all 93,000 words, it seemed a shame not to put it to any use, particularly when it didn't seem that bad, so I tidied it up and put it onto Lulu which both enabled me to get a copy printed for myself, and allowed me to make it available to anyone else who wants to take a look.
I've been listening to hardcore and raving since '92 so I just wrote about what I knew and was also influenced by my favourite authors, Stephen King and James Herbert.
Any feedback on the first chapter, or the whole book if anyone out there does choose to get it, would be greatly appreciated. It is a first effort, and I don't have a background in writing, so please keep that in mind, but having said that I'm big enough to take criticism, so long as it's fair.

Let me know what you think.
The first chapter is intended to get the reader interested and following that the story settles down covering the run up to the first event at the new club "Discoredia". This then builds up until the event itself and what happens to those attending.
I don't want to give away too much, I'd rather people read it and find things out for themselves, but hopefully some people will not only take a chance on this but will also post their reviews and opinions on it, and encourage more people to read it that way. I think recommendations from other people will carry more weight than me recommending it as the author!

Has anyone had any trouble buying this? It seems that the site doesn't like certain types of debit/credit card although paypal can be used instead. If anyone has had trouble let me know and I'll try to find an alternative place to make it available.
