Hey guys,

Just wanted to ask : is the Gemini iTT good ?

It's that one => http://www.geminidj.com/itt.html

All the functions and that stuff, is that good ? I have no idea about turntables.

I think it looks so fresh in white, so cool [:P] . However I'm not sure if they're still producing them, they're not on the Gemini page any more ( http://www.geminidj.com/turntables.html ), I've found the iTT page by myself on the server. And some months ago I asked in a store if they have them, but they said they don't anymore. Also the Gemini site says it's a special edition.

So, what ya think ?

Cheers.

it's not that they're good really, it's that they'renot bad.

it has all the parts, something like technics i would assume that they last a little longer, but these are direct drive so if you are making a mix, it will be listenable based on that.

they couldn't be bad decks to buy, no worse than the belt drive numarks i had at one point...

my suggestion would be to look at used stuff. it's way cheaper. if you're bent on brand new, then do what ya like.

hmm I understand. I could actually buy some good technics, used, that may be better, but these ones are white and i think it looks so cool! However i hink i'd also need a white mixer then.

What are good turntables ? Technics ?

1210's m8 mk2's really don't waste money on flashy looking decks, the flashyness is usually to hide how crap they are,

Only decks I would recomend to anyone is 1210's or numark TTX-1's those 2 decks are probably the best on the market..

I just pitched my 1210's up to 10% pitch which makes them even better to use having that extra wee bit to play with makes soooo much difference to using them and only takes less than 5min per deck..

As already said get yourself a good 2nd hand set, 1210's are bulit proof, so you should not have any problems with older decks,

when buying check the platter is spinning correctly make sure the tone arm is free to move and is working, check hight adjustment on the tone arm. and also check the pitch is ok at 0% and its not swaying about,

Good luck with getting the new decks,

Buzz

Well, the Geminis look cool but I'd never say that they're crap ! I asked some people on other forums, they said they're good, and I think it's worth for the price, ( the Gemini iTT is a special version of the Gemini TT-03 ), and well, the specs and features of the Gemini seam to be better, but Technics are still Technics..

I'll give a look for some second hand Technics.

if you could get a shot of them first to see what they are like that would be a bonus, that way you can get a feel of them before you buy,

good luck with the deck search :)

Yea that'd be cool, but I can only find them over the internet ( I already asked in some stores but they don't have them anymore ).

Technics are still to expensive, even used. I could get 2 Gemini iTTs with a iPMX mixer for 500 $ i think, that's a good deal. If something doesn't work, I have a guarantee and I bring them back.

I don't think that the Gemini Turntables are so bad, it's more the mixer which is shit.

And I'm on a lw budget..

Damn I wish I could afford Technics, I want the SL1200 MK5. But as I said, I can't afford them right now.

Should I try that Gemini pack ? I mean I can always send it back..

Mk2's m8 I have used the Mk5's and to be honest I can't see the need for the extra price tag, Also did hear of some problems with the mk5's but yea technics are the buisness.
