I love happy hardcore, but I can't make it. I usually make trance, but I have been branching out making some DnB and trying happy hardcore. Might as well introduce myself here too...
I am 14 years old and love music, I use Reason 4!
I can never seem to get the leads right, they sounds like they are on the wrong beat or something. I try to make leads like S3RL, I get the sound, but not the notes, I will try 16th notes on the third beat and it doesn't sound right. Before that note I will add one an octave lower and still doesn't sound right.
So what do you guys say? Am I on the wrong beat, or doing it completely wrong?
Any help is appreciated!

i'd just be reaching here since it's been a while since i've touched a studio, and my wording may not be right but here goes.
maybe start with up beat stabs counteracting the bassline on the second beat using 8ths? if that makes any sense, i could be totally wrong.

The speed limit is 170 bpm boii. I guess that's the most important thing to know. The brakes, or whatever they are called, consist of 16 bonks. Bling! Bling!
