You're doing something positive and are prepared to try things, and oh dear, new things!
Trying something new....? *shakes head in horror and dismay*
Don't be put off by the nasty little detractors and barrack room lawyers.
Good luck to you and your label.

Well said. I'm sure the label will go from strength to strength as you seem to have the drive to move it forwards. Really respect what you're doing with the label too. Not everyone want to listen to/make the same old Hardcore all the time.
Looking forward to hearing the next batch of releases when I get in tonight. 8-)

Cheers for the support guys, it really is appreciated.
I am trying to do something a bit different with NSR cause I think you have to. There will be some fantastic tracks in the next couple of batches by some really good established artists so do keep checking!

Personally, i think you're approaching this idea all wrong.
Getting orbit1 etc to remix might be a good idea for some exposure, but i wouldn't rely on that hey. I'm not 100% sure on their remix prices, but im gonna tell ya, it wont be cheap. (well it will be compared to other dance genres).
I think you should be concentrating on making your statement through original music; not who the artists are. If you have upcoming producers who can make good tracks and they make a name for themselves through YOUR label, people are going to remember where they came from. Which is better exposure for your label.
There are quite a few talented producers who frequent these forums regularly that arent "well-known, established" artists, who have good material and a strong passion. Ionosphere and Bulby_G spring to mind, i talk to them both and have heard both artist's material and i can tell you that you won't be disappointed with the material they give you. Both unique styles.
I think instead of getting ahead of yourself and looking to the horizon, you should look closer to home for some diamonds in the rough. So to speak. :)

I like Andy's logic here. You've started a different, original and ambitious project, focusing on pretty much unknown artists. Keeping it this way might be a good idea. One alternative way to promote your stuff - remixing aside - might be to take pains and reach DJs who play varied stuff and might give your tracks exposure. Internet radio DJs, youtube DJs, smaller event promoters (they're DJs themselves in most cases), even some higher profile names likely to play more experimental stuff. Make a list, keep looking, get out there. And above all, no matter how experimental you go, stick to high quality standards. Good luck. :)

Not sure, i can't really give an opinion on whether you're approaching this wrong at this stage because i dont really know much about what you're trying to do and stuff..
I agree with what Andrew has said about getting a relatively big name to produce a remix. Personally, i rekon that might be a slightly more economical and better option once your label is a little more established and when you get more serious and start getting your profit and stuff, you'll just be losing money if you're paying an amount of money when you're starting off.
I agree with 2nd statement too. There needs to be fresh stuff, stuff that will sell, new tracks, you know.. I think that's the key too, that's what i'd think would be the way.
I think you MIGHT be getting ahead of yourself, i'm just suspecting that with my uneducated speculation how ever, but don't quote me on that.
But in good faith, good luck with your label and your productions! :)

andy influx - I fully understand what you are saying, and I do agree, there are some fantastic producers on this and other forums, and i do want original music all the time. One of the challenges I face is finding these guys and persuading them to submit one or two tracks to NSR. as i have always said, i listen to every single submission and give feedback too. The remix idea really would be for the future, because as you say....it wont be cheap.
Ive got a quote of Jakazid who is one of my favorite producers at the moment and he has come back with a very reasonable price! So that may be something i will look to do in the spring or summer of 2009 when the label is a bit more known.
Torpex - Thanks again for the comments. I do already have a roster of DJs who get the tracks, these guys play at live events as well as weekly shows on happynation.co.uk and kraftyradio.com, so i am trying to cover that angle.
Starstruck - Cheers for the good wishes. In response to 'what we are trying to do' Have a quick glance at http://www.nsrrecords.co.uk that is our site and it gives a general idea of what we hope to achieve etc. Thanks guys for good advice! I guess a problem I face is getting people to take the label seriously and getting them to listen to the clips of our tracks on Juno and Imo, even if they dont buy them, at least people are giving the clips a listen and seeing what we are about.
