I could be wrong though!
its most definitely better then a 320 kbs stream, plus most streams aint even at 320 kbs most are 128 kbs. even so FM (when set up correctly) sounds miles better :o)

ahh dimension, i used to tune into them too from there web stream also midlands rush and i still listen to eruption 101.3 on the sunrise radio toolbar, Google it if u want, its a nifty pirate radio tuner for your browser, loads of stations on it.
yea ken im sorry to say but the audio from radio can be much better if set up right, internet radio is only as good as ur connection and your soundcard, too much variation of setups out there in net land that can cause all kinds of audio related problems.

init man i was chatting to Spangles (remember him ?) the fella who used to run Dimension FM & iv got the largest known collection of Dimension FM tapes, over 500 all my own recordings. Dimension FM later started DFM Records & after the station went off the air the label continued, hence DFM Records = Dimension FM Records :o)

yea its hard to get rigs here man, Especial ones that have the cans in them, No engineers up here at all man, Nothing like that at all man, Good in London lol Most stations have there own rig doctor lol I have to do all that myself lol.
Be good if there was someone up here who had the knowledge to build em like some of the London engineers. Some of there stuff is amazing and kicks out some amount of power.
Most stations up here are just wee guys with NRG stuff and a vertical on the rood of there mum or dads gaff lol playing shit off the pc lol,
Airwaves have been dead for a while now up here, Not much interest in it, And to be honest I think they are missing the potential of a good station up here. Ive seen what a good station can do for the dj's It got me involved with club nights thats for sure, Probably would not of played at half the events i have if i never did the radio,

I never knew that Buzz & Rob, I always thought FM was a crap connection but I must have been tuned into the wrong stations!
What happens when you finish your mixing though? theres no auto dj & you cant hand over to DJ's in America @ the click of a button. Also, does that mean, anyone playing on the station has to be there in the van to play everytime?

Just hook up a Minidisk or a mp3 player to the mixer and fill it with sets and adverts. and when all the sets are done leave that to play.
Just have it live from say 4pm till 12pm everyday and have sets playing the rest of the time, Loads of ways to do it, Not all stations are 24/7 tho, You would be seriously surprised how quick people lock onto pirate stations, and all u need to do its tell them when your next on, we were on most nights so we had a healthy following at one point, And people would always be there tuned in ready to listen at the weekends,
Also we saved all the numbers that called and text, then we would use free weekends to spam the phones to let ppl know we were back in business, worked a treat, lol im sure just after we did this vodaphone introduced that fair use policy lol hehe
