Last one finsihed at the end of February so i think it'd be nice to START throwing ideas around now as January is gonna be busy for everyone and i remember how long it took to organise last time. ...
So... Has anyone got any ideas for this one? I'm bringing up the topic but obviously i don't want to organise it because i'm going to want to compete....
So anyway... pitch your ideas now and lets see what we can come up wtih...

Same rules as last time but with a choice of vocals not just one.

So, we would provide multiple vocals or people would pick their own acapella?
I agree, this is a nice thing to do yearly.

I think everyone should have the same boundaries for the comp. So i think like last time, we should agree on the vocals, and they should be made available for everyone.
Remixes are kinda boring imo though...

Wouldn't it be a good idea to hold off until Ken's CD has been made?

I don't care when it happens personally but it needs to get organised.
It took us more than a month last time.

Yes, agreed. One site project at a time.
It wouldn't be right to diminish the input to Ken's CD after the huge amount of work he's already put in.
New vocals, only from site members, wouldn't constitute the normal remix old tosh.
....and Sam.
steve???

Yeah me too.
I agree it would only be fair for ken's project to finish first. I just wanted to bring up the discussion so it could get sorted so we could move on. It took a shit long time to organise last night - i don't wanna be in that position again.
I hate being disorganised haha

If I like some of the tunes produced can I try and sign them to NSR? or is there some kind of rule against that?
Mind you, the tracks would be free downloads wouldnt they...hmmmmm
i might just compete instead

Well, I remember Ionosphere & Sean Apollo's track won one of the comps and also got signed and released so I guess that would be fine.

think u should hold off on this till Mr Masters cd is done, too much other stuff on the go to try make more tunes for a comp. I think a summer 09 comp would be best, people are off on holiday and it would give ppl time to get sorted for it,
Also would give whoever is running it time to sort out the remix packs and vocals, more time to prep = better tunes for everyone lol.

I thought this day would never come!
OK, heres what I suggest. The deadline i've set for the members CD is 1st of March. This is when I expect all track entries to have been sent to me.
Come the 1st March then i'll know exactly what tracks will have made the CD & I can get the final work done for the CD, on my own, letting the comp begin.
This also gives Andy until the 1st March to organise details of the Comp & everyone can have their say.
If anyone disagrees with this then let me know asap & I could see about cutting the deadline slightly shorter but i'm sure this is the best route.
