Okay, so I got this album for christmas and I've been really happy with it. I've liked hardcore since I was like 11 when my older brother first introduced me to it, and it was great to hear some of the tracks on there that reminded me why I fell in love with hardcore in the first place.

Anyway.. I was listening to it yesterday and I noticed something. On CD2, Track 18 - Sy & Unknown - Bring Me Round To Love (Scott Brown Evolution Remix) the strangest thing happened. At about 2:54 in, the bass just disappears. Really, that is the best way I can describe it. And it comes back 21 seconds later at 3:15.

I know it isn't meant to be like that because I've heard that song before. Plus it doesn't sound like some effect the DJ has used, because of how randomly, and suddenly, it comes back in. It literally sounds like someone leant on a button in the studio or something. Seriously, anyone with this album, please go listen to that bit.

If it happens on other people's, then its obviously meant to be like that, which is kinda weird. If it doesn't, I probably have a dodgy copy.

Yes, its meant to be like that, but it doesn't just disappear, its slowly fades off and then comes back with the beat.

Okay, I can see that how it goes out vaguely coincides with the song, but its hardly faded out slowly, and it definitely isn't faded slowly back in. Plus it doesn't even come back with the beat, it comes back about 5 seconds before the beat.

I don't mean to complain, cos the rest of the album is great, but if it really is meant to be like this, then it sounds crap.

Edit: Didn't see Skidzorz's post. That first reply really isn't me.

If it`s not you, then sorry. Just you guys both joined today, and Jurakm posted an answer quite shortly after you so it was kind of fishy. Plus, another situation much like this happened not too long ago.

Yeah, I can see how that might look a bit suspicious :) Anyway, if you have 'Hardcore The Classics', check it out and tell me what you think.

It's an effect Sy has used, called a Sonar effect.

nobody over 18 has bought this album in the UK! We've all got these tracks over and over again! I'm 30ish, and to have a classics album with these tracks just takes the piss! I know 1000's of tracks that were better than this shite that should be on a classics album!

it's meant to be a classics album. since they stopped making classics, doesn't it make sense to use popular classics on comps then? i mean it's only common sense.

back when the classics were still considered upfront, you would hear the same songs on everyones mixes back then too, but now it's a problem?
