Back in the 90s I had loads of sets & was playing it until I was 12ish (the thugs at my secondary school shunned anything 'childish' so I just didn't enjoy it the same at home because it always reminds me of my last year in middle school which was good)

I started with the Pirate Theam when I was about 6. I Think for my seventh birthday I got the good piarte ship 'Sea Lion' which was in the cataloge. I used to collect catologes every year from 1994 until 1999 when they started bring out Star Wars & computer games & it just wasn't the same anymore

The cataloges had each theme to a page (or sometimes more) with all the sets grouped round the edge of the page (in boxes) & all the models made to a theme in the middle (Castles had the Black Knights & Dragon Knights fighting ect) In 1994 you followed a crook & a police officer throughout the catologe. In 1995 each theme had it's own story going on. I also knew someone who was older than me & when we went to their house I liked the sets from the early 90s & they also had the 1991 catologe which I was always interested in!

I liked pirate stuff alot in 1994 but later by 99 I got into town theme & started building town stuff. As I said I started secondary school in 1999 & lost all my confidence & lost interest in things I once loved! We got a new computer in 1999 & then in 2000 I got The Sims which toke the place of what Lego did before!

Who else likd Lego & what sets & themes did you collect?

I wasn't the biggest fan of space but had a few bits. The Space Police went through phazes & you had the Spyrions & in the early 90s, M-tron & Black-tron. Space goes back to about 1977 & I had some handed down or second hand peices from that era. Castles came out in 1984 & Pirates in 1989. Aquazone came out in 1995 & there was also cowboys, explorers & even remote control cars. I will try to find the cataloges but I don't know where they will be now as we have moved house.
