In clubs I noticed that drinks are getting cheaper. The other night before 12 drinks where £1 in Lava Ignite in B'mouth & then the price went up to £3 but then down to £2!

Is this because of the recession? Clubs & pubs are having to lower rpices to get people into places? It is good for people like me lol

If there was a better system, super-markets and shops would not sell alcohol and tobacco products. All tobacco and alcohol should be sold in specialist places and prices will be limited.

super-markets can afford to sell booze cheap, they're not really going to give a **** about a small pub round the corner who is struggling to even sell their peanuts let alone sell booze.

It's just really a desperate attempt to sell, not because of the recession.... just most people can't be bothered to go into a pub anymore due to the stupid smoking regulations.

i bet Weatherspoons are going down : )

Why go to a pub and pay nearly 3 pound a pint or a club where you pay close to 4 pounds a pint when you can sit at home with 3 crates for 20 quid, smoking and with your own choice of tunes on instead of the shit they have on jukeboxes!

There are 5 in B'mouth & two in Poole! [:P] Three of those in B'town are in the town centre as well, the newest is the Mary Shelley & the one in Boscombe is the Sir Percey Florence Shelley. The Shelley's where rich poets who lived at Shelley Mannor in Boscombe in the 19th century.

Exactly.
But i do usually get my drinks from the corner shop or other small businesses so atleast im supporting them.

Nightclubs find it hard to compete with the Supermarkets on booze. I could go out now, and return with 8 cans of beer for around £6. £6 doesn't really go too far on you're average weekend night out! To be honest, I only tend to go out on a student night, where the drinks are £1.50 each usually.

I'm just going to try and enjoy cheap deals on booze before the Scottish Nazi Party try to ban them.

It won't be because of this. The reduction in VAT is negligible through the tills. For example, I think you'll get 21p back off a £10 CD.
